ACCESS TO HOLME BIRD OBSERVATORY UPDATE

REPAIRS TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH ARE COMPLETE AND FULL ACCESS IS RESTORED TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM THORNHAM. THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION.

Holme Bird Observatory Saturday 18th June 2022

Two Great White Egrets flew west across the Broadwater early afternoon, and a short sea watch produced a Great Crested Grebe and 12 Gannets. The moth traps were busy with 80 species caught, these included 2 Round-winged Muslin, 3 Red-necked and 3 Rosy Footman, 7 Beautiful Hook-tip and single Coxcomb Prominent, Lunar Yellow Underwing, Pinion streaked Snout and Grass Rivilet.
