The temperature as forecasted moved up another notch to 39 degrees, which as yesterday restricted bird activity. That said, 15 Little Egrets and up to 9 Spoonbills on the Broadwater gave things a mediterranean feel ! Other birds noted included four Yellow Wagtails, two on Thornham Pools and two over the Obs calling.
The moth traps produced 57 species including 7 Garden Tigers, 5 Fen Wainscot, 5 Rosy Footman, 3 Drinker, 2 Pine Hawkmoths, Archers Dart and Common White Wave.
