A rather wet and miserable day as forecast at the coast. A short window though before the rain arrived, enabled Blackbirds crossing form the near continent to arrive safely, with at least fifty birds noted around the immediate observatory area along with smaller numbers of Song Thrush, Redwing and Fieldfare. Other birds of interest during the day included an unseasonal Swallow, a Kingfisher and at least two Bearded Tits around the Broadwater and fifteen Gannets, eleven Eider and two Goldeneye on the sea.
