ACCESS TO HOLME BIRD OBSERVATORY UPDATE

REPAIRS TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH ARE COMPLETE AND FULL ACCESS IS RESTORED TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM THORNHAM. THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION.

Holme Bird Observatory Friday 13th January 2023

On the sea today a drake Pintail, 45 Eider, a Long-tailed Duck, 10 Common and a Velvet Scoter, Goldeneye, 11 Red-breasted Mergansers, 5 Red-throated Divers, 3 Great Northern Divers, 17 Fulmars, 10 Great Crested Grebes and 2 Razorbills were recorded. Also of interest were 2 Firecrests still around the reserve, a Barn Owl hunting, 2 Stonechats and 2 Rock Pipits.
