ACCESS TO HOLME BIRD OBSERVATORY UPDATE

REPAIRS TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH ARE COMPLETE AND FULL ACCESS IS RESTORED TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM THORNHAM. THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION.

Holme Bird Observatory Friday 24th February 2023

On the sea today 65 Eider, a Long-tailed Duck, 5 Red-breasted Mergansers, 2 Red-throated Divers, 5 Fulmars, 1 Gannet, 9 Great Crested Grebes and a Red-necked Grebe were seen, with a Greenshank in Thornham Harbour, 15 Black-tailed Godwits, a female Merlin on the beach, 2 Kingfishers, 2 Firecrests, 3 Stonechats and 2 Rock Pipits also of interest.
