ACCESS TO HOLME BIRD OBSERVATORY UPDATE

REPAIRS TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH ARE COMPLETE AND FULL ACCESS IS RESTORED TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM THORNHAM. THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION.

Holme Bird Observatory Thursday 23rd February 2023

On the sea today 40 Eider, 600 Common Scoter, 20 Red-breasted Mergansers, 7 Fulmars, a Gannet, 15 Great Crested Grebes, 2 Guillemots and 13 Kittiwakes were recorded, with 300 Golden Plover, 5 Black-tailed Godwits and a Snipe also of interest, and at least 1 Firecrest in the pines near the entrance to the NOA reserve much of the morning.
