ACCESS TO HOLME BIRD OBSERVATORY UPDATE

REPAIRS TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH ARE COMPLETE AND FULL ACCESS IS RESTORED TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM THORNHAM. THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION.

Holme Bird Observatory Monday 13th February 2023

Four White-fronted Geese were on Redwell Marsh again today, and 2 Firecrests were near the Richardson and Dowson hides in the afternoon. Two Spoonbills were noted, and on the sea a Goldeney, 12 Red-breasted Mergansers and 6 Eiders were of note, with a Kingfisher showing well on the Broadwater and 10 Black-tailed Godwits on the marshes near Thornham sea wall. A single Siskin flew over calling.
