ACCESS TO HOLME BIRD OBSERVATORY UPDATE

REPAIRS TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH ARE COMPLETE AND FULL ACCESS IS RESTORED TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM THORNHAM. THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION.

Holme Bird Observatory Monday 27th February 2023

On the sea today 8 Eider, 2 Common Scoter, 5 Red-breasted Mergansers, 3 Red-throated Divers, 3 Fulmars, 2 Great Crested Grebes, and a Red-necked Grebe were seen. A male Hen Harrier flew out over the grazing marsh heading for Thornham, and a Firecrest was near the Richardson Hide, with 2 Snow Buntings also of interest at Gore Point.
