ACCESS TO HOLME BIRD OBSERVATORY UPDATE

REPAIRS TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH ARE COMPLETE AND FULL ACCESS IS RESTORED TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM THORNHAM. THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION.

Holme Bird Observatory Sunday 26th February 2023

On the sea today 35 Eiders, 500 Common Scoters, 2 Goldeneye, 8 Red-breasted Mergansers, 9 Red-throated Divers, 2 Fulmars, a Gannet7 Great Crested Grebes and 25 Kittiwakes were recorded. A Rough-legged Buzzard passed east over Thornham late morning, and at least one Firecrest was feeding in the pines near the Observatory. Off the Golf Course 3 Shorelarks and 3 Snow Buntings were found.
