ACCESS TO HOLME BIRD OBSERVATORY UPDATE

REPAIRS TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH ARE COMPLETE AND FULL ACCESS IS RESTORED TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM THORNHAM. THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION.

Holme Bird Observatory Saturday 8th April 2023

Fourteen Pink-feet were still present and a pair of Med Gulls were noted. A single Brambling, 2 Redpolls and 2 Siskins flew over calling.

In the moth traps a Shoulder Stripe, 2 Clouded Drabs, 11 Hebrew Characters, a Double-striped Pug, Dotted Border, Early Grey and an Agonopterix heracliana were recorded.

Also noted were a Peacock butterfly and 12 Smooth Newts in the pond.
