The drake Garganey was again on the pools at Thornham, as were 31 Black-tailed Godwits, 21 Ruff and a Green Sandpiper. A Firecrest was trapped and ringed at the Observatory and a Treecreeper was in the pines by the Heligoland trap, not an overly common bird at the site. Birds noted overhead included two Woodlarks, heading east, Brambling, Tree Sparrow, Redpoll (4+), Siskin (4+), Swallow and House Martin.
