On the sea today over 1000 Common Scoters were seen and at least 4 Arctic Skuas were counted passing west, together with 21 Gannets, 2 Little Terns, 24 Sandwich Terns, 29 Common Terns. Also of interest were a Green Woodpecker and a Yellow Wagtail flying over calling. A group of 50+ Swallows were feeding near Thornham Harbour in the afternoon.
Moths included Latticed Heath, Vine's Rustic, Mother of Pearl, Ruby Tiger, Archer's Dart and Southern Wainscot. Holly Blue was again on the buddleia outside the Observatory.
