A mixed day with rain on and off, and thunder late afternoon. Highlights included Green Sandpiper and Greenshank, a Kingfisher, 2 Hobbies came in off the sea, 48 House Martin passed over, 7 Chiffchaffs, 10 Willow Warblers, 2 Blackcaps, a Lesser Whitethroat, 3 Whitethroats, a Sedge Warbler, and 8 Reed Warblers.
In the moth traps another Twin-spotted Wainscot was of interest, while Small Copper and Brown Argus were noted around the reserve.
