With winds increasing from the south west there was less visible migrant activity today, however there was still plenty of interest, including 9 Pintail, 860 Common and a single Velvet Scoter on the sea, 4 Red-breasted Mergansers, 5 Red-throated Divers, 1 Fulmar, 42 Gannets, 4 Great Crested Grebes and 55 Sandwich Terns, Common and Green Sandpipers and Greenshank on the grazing marsh, a Swift past the Observatory in the morning was a late record, Hobby and Peregrine were noted and 5 Buzzards were seen drifting south west, while 3 Bearded Tits were around the Broadwater, 5 Whinchats and a Wheatear were near the corner of Thornham Bank, and 3 Stonechats were also of interest. A single Grey Wagtail was also recorded.
