Another excellent day of migration with a Pallas' Warbler trapped and ringed early morning and a Dusky Warbler seen opposite the car park but elusive. Other ringing highlights included another Water Pipit and a Kingfisher, while over the grazing marsh Short-eared Owl and Spotted Redshank were of note. Also of interest were a Fieldfare, a Great Skua offshore, 1000+ Common Scoters, 10 Gannets and a Great Crested Grebe, 2 Cetti's Warblers, 10 Blackcaps, 5 Rock Pipits, 8 Bramblings, 7 Redpolls, and 15 Siskins.
In the moth traps a Blair's Shoulder-Knot was a nice find.
