A superb day for migrants with a Dusky Warbler trapped and ringed, together with a Yellow-browed Warbler, 2 Cetti's Warblers, a Mealy Redpoll, a Siskin and a Bearded Tit among 50 birds of 17 species. Of note around the reserve a Pallas' Warbler still present, a Lesser Whitethroat, 30 Fieldfares, a Black and a Common Redstart, 4 Stonechats along Thornham sea wall, and 6 Bramblings flying over calling. 8 Waxwings were also seen.
