Holme Bird Observatory Tuesday 31st August 2021

Very quiet to start but picked up in the afternoon with 2 Pied Flys around the NWT carpark. A good afternoon sea watch with 6 Kittiwake, 3 Arctic Skua, 1 Great Skua, 99 Common Scoter and a Fulmar and more. A Whimbrel calling over the fresh marsh was a nice end to the day.

Moth traps were very quiet with only 21 moths of 9 species including Turnip, Flame Shoulder and Flounced Rustic.
