ACCESS TO HOLME BIRD OBSERVATORY UPDATE

REPAIRS TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH ARE COMPLETE AND FULL ACCESS IS RESTORED TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM THORNHAM. THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION.

Holme Bird Observatory Wednesday 1st September 2021

A Garganey was seen from the Car Park hide in the morning, and seawatching was quiet with a single Arctic and Great Skua logged. A Hobby was hunting over the pines and a Pied Flycatcher was near the car parks.
 
Moths included 8 Flounced Rustics, 2 Orange Swifts, 8 White-line Darts, 4 Archer's Darts, 2 Vine's Rustic, 3 Small Square Spots, a Broad Bordered Yellow Underwing, 2 Square-spots Rustic, Large Yellow Underwing and a Rosy Rustic.
