ACCESS TO HOLME BIRD OBSERVATORY UPDATE

REPAIRS TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH ARE COMPLETE AND FULL ACCESS IS RESTORED TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM THORNHAM. THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION.

Holme Bird Observatory Wednesday 11th August 2021

Bird highlights today included two Black Terns, two Great White Egrets, two Green Sandpipers and a Greenshank, with a juvenile Cuckoo reported late afternoon. The Moth trap was again productive with a 74 species recorded which included Sallow Kitten, Coxcomb Prominent, Latticed Heath, Tree Lichen Beauty and  Twin Spot, Silky and Brown-veined Wainscot.
