ACCESS TO HOLME BIRD OBSERVATORY UPDATE

REPAIRS TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH ARE COMPLETE AND FULL ACCESS IS RESTORED TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM THORNHAM. THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION.

Holme Bird observatory Tuesday 12th October 2021

Seawatching today produced counts of  108 Kittiwake, 13 Great Skuas, 9 Arctic Skuas, 6 Red-breasted Merganser, 2 Goldeneye, 2 Eider and single Puffin, Velvet Scoter, Sooty Shearwater, and Great Northern Diver. On the reserve there were single Great White Egret, Woodcock and Spotted Redshank. 16 Jays were noted heading East and a Hawfinch was reported around the Pines. 

Moths today included 2 Feathered Ranunculus, 2 Angle Shades and 2 Black Rustic.
