ACCESS TO HOLME BIRD OBSERVATORY UPDATE

REPAIRS TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH ARE COMPLETE AND FULL ACCESS IS RESTORED TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM THORNHAM. THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION.

Holme Bird Observatory Friday 5th November 2021

A Whooper Swan was again seen on the Broadwater and at sea 4 Eider, 13 Common Scoter and 4 drake Goosander were seen, with a Little Auk passing west among a flock of 300 Starlings. Other birds of note included 3 Red Kites, 2 Water Rails, 250 Lapwings, 3,600+ Starlings, 53 Blackbirds, a Stonechat, 1 Grey Wagtail, 8 Rock Pipits and 12 Siskins. A flock of 7 Snow Buntings was at Gore Point.
