REPAIRS TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH ARE COMPLETE AND FULL ACCESS IS RESTORED TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM THORNHAM. THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION.

Holme Bird Observatory Thursday 4th November 2021

A day of strong northerlies. Seawatching between 7.10 and 11.10am produced 101 Brents, 315 Wigeon, 144 Teal, 64 Eider, 114 Common Scoter, 5 Velvet Scoter, 4 Goldeneye, 13 Red-breasted Mergansers, 5 Pintail, 22 Red-throated Divers, Black-throated and Great Northern Divers, 9 Great Crested Grebes, 4 Fulmars, 2 Manx and 3 Sooty Shearwaters, 116 Gannets, 2 Arctic and 11 Great Skuas, 10 Little Gulls, 221 Kittiwakes and a Short-eared Owl.
