ACCESS TO HOLME BIRD OBSERVATORY UPDATE

REPAIRS TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH ARE COMPLETE AND FULL ACCESS IS RESTORED TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM THORNHAM. THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION.

Holme Bird Observatory Tuesday 2nd November 2021

On the Broadwater today there were two adult Whooper Swans and six Bearded Tits along the reed edge and a redhead Goosander was noted flying west late afternoon.  A Merlin also flew west early morning heading out over the dunes.
Insect wise Painted Lady and Red Admiral butterflies were noted along with Migrant Hawker and Common Darter dragonflies.
