ACCESS TO HOLME BIRD OBSERVATORY UPDATE

REPAIRS TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH ARE COMPLETE AND FULL ACCESS IS RESTORED TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM THORNHAM. THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION.

The Black Redstart continued to show on the NWT reserve during the day.

Also of interest were 4 Red-breasted Mergansers at sea, 12 Chiffchaffs, 2 Redwings, a Yellow Wagtail over east, 5 Bramblings and 6 Siskins.

In the moth traps 5 Clouded Drabs, a Dotted Border, 2 Shoulder Stripes, 3 Small Quakers, a Common Quaker, a Twin-Spotted Quaker, March Tubic, Mottled Grey, Red-green Carpet, Monopis obviella, 2 Red Chestnuts, 5 Hebrew Characters, an Early Thorn, Grey Shoulder-Knot and Oak Beauty.

Four Peacock Butterflies were also seen.
