ACCESS TO HOLME BIRD OBSERVATORY UPDATE

REPAIRS TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH ARE COMPLETE AND FULL ACCESS IS RESTORED TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM THORNHAM. THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION.

Holme Bird Observatory Sunday 17th April 2022

At least one Ring Ouzel remained in the dunes and a Pied Flycatcher was also present early morning close to the NOA carpark. One reeling Grasshoper Warbler was reported, and two male Wheatears were along Thornham Bank. 

The moth traps produced two each of Common Quaker, Early Thorn, Hebrew Character, Small Quaker and Cochylis atricapitana and single Pine Beauty, Knotgrass and Pyrausta despicata.
