A bit of a wash out today, rain from 10.30 to mid afternoon. Before the rain a Bittern was heard very distantly and a cuckoo was singing at the Obs and one at Redwell. One Yellow Wagtail fly over.
A marked reduction in Moths in the trap with one trap actually having zero moths! The other trap had 39 moths of 21 species, still no Striped Hawk Moth but we did have one Poplar Hawk Moth and one Pine Hawk Moth. Other species included 1 Latticed heath, 2 Yellow Belle, 1 Spectacle and 1 Marbled Minor agg.
