REPAIRS TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH ARE COMPLETE AND FULL ACCESS IS RESTORED TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM THORNHAM. THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION.

A juvenile Green Woodpecker was a nice surprise in the nets today even though it was a bit smelly! Only 5 birds ringed this morning; 1 Wren, 1 Blue Tit, 1 Chiffchaff. 1 Whitethroat and the Green Woodpecker. Good numbers of Knot on the beach some still in slight breeding plumage.

61 species of moths in the traps including 27 Bird Cherry Ermine, 2 Nutmeg, 1 Archers Dart,2 Lesser Broad-bordered underwing and many more.
