ACCESS TO HOLME BIRD OBSERVATORY UPDATE

REPAIRS TO THE COASTAL FOOTPATH ARE COMPLETE AND FULL ACCESS IS RESTORED TO THE OBSERVATORY FROM THORNHAM. THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND VISITORS FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION.

Holme Bird Observatory Sunday 10th July 2022

A Hobby was hawking in front of the Obs in the afternoon, a Med Gull flew over and a Common Sandpiper and 2 Black-tailed Godwits were on the Broadwater.  

Moths today were 2 Ferns, 2 Pine Hawks, 2 Ruby Tigers, a Snout, 12 Common Footmen, 3 Peppered Moths, 4 Small Magpies, 4 Haworth's Pugs, 5 Brown Tails, a Cinnabar, 3 Rustic, Round-winged Muslin, 2 Kent Black Arches, 5 Uncertains, Garden Carpet, Dingy Footman, Small Elephant Hawk, 2 Buff Arches, Sand Dart, 3 Dwarf Cream Wave, 2 Oak Eggar, 5 Scarce Footmen, Least Carpet, Breckland Plume, 2 Lyme Grass, Buff Ermine, 2 Mottled Rustic, Dark Arches, 4 Single Dotted Waves, 2 Brown-line Bright-eyes, Smoky Wainscot, White-line Dart, Rosy Footman, Clay and 2 Garden Tigers.
