A Yellow-browed Warbler heard near the Observatory late morning was seen in the willows near the Dell hide at 3.30pm but elusive. A Red-breasted Flycatcher was seen in the dunes on the NWT reserve at 3.15. A Purple Sandpiper at Gore Point, 58 Common Buzzards and a Honey Buzzard kettling over the marshes at 11.30am.
Other birds of interest were a Greenshank, 2 Barn Owls, Kingfisher, Bearded Tit, 4 Swallows, 2 House Martins, 3 Chiffchaffs, 3 Blackcaps, a single Redwing, Stonechat, Grey Wagtail, 6 Rock Pipits, 35 Meadow Pipits, 6 Skylarks, Lesser Redpoll (ringed), 4 Redpoll sp, 3 Bramblings and 10 Siskins.
In the moth traps 46 Lunar Underwings, 4 Feathered Ranunculus, 18 Beaded Chestnuts, a Lesser Yellow Underwing, Deep-brown Dart, 3 Square-spot Rustics, a Sallow, Setaceous Hebrew Character, 5 Large Yellow Underwings, Broad Bordered Yellow Underwing, Black Rustic, Brown-spot Pinion, Green Brindled Crescent and a Turnip were caught.
Wall Brown, Small Heath and Red Admiral were seen around the reserve together with 6 Migrant Hawkers and 3 Common Darters.
