Holme Bird Observatory Wednesday 28th September 2022

The Kingfisher was again around the Broadwater during the course of the day and a Greenshank was visible from the Car Park hide. A flyover Siskin and three Swallows summed up a disappointing day for visible migration.

In the moth trap, Lunar Underwings were unsurprisingly the most numerous moth, with Pink-barred Sallow, Brown Spot Pinion and Black Rustic amongst the thirteen species caught.
