A fairly good day for another day of southwest wind, a good passage of Meadow Pipits and finches. An early morning sea watch produced a Slavonian Grebe one the sea and a Puffin flying west along with a good movement of Razorbills and Guillemots. A large flock of Long-tailed Tits were flitting around the nets all morning with 22 ringed in total plus 21 Meadow Pipits and a stunning male Bearded Tit.
In the moths traps we had 5 White Point, 3 Lunar Underwing, 2 Black Rustic, 8 Large Wainscot, 3 Eudonia angustea, 1 Light Brown Apple Moth, 1 Lesser Yellow Underwing, 8 Large Yellow Underwing, 1 Feathered Ranunculus, 2 Red-lined Quaker and 2 Vines Rustic.
