A clear night with a full moon, few migrants were noted
during the day but a Greenshank was on the Broadwater, 2 Tawny Owls were
calling during the day, a Kingfisher was active and 4+ Bearded Tits were
pinging in the reeds. A Wheatear appeared on the east bank late afternoon and 3
Mistle Thrushes, 4 Stonechats, 2+ Tree Sparrows, a Siskin, 100+ Meadow Pipits
and 10 Rock Pipits were also of interest.
In the moth traps 5 Large Yellow Underwings, 8 Eudonia
angustea, 5 Large Yellow Underwings, 3 Large Wainscots, 2 Feathered Ranunculus
and a Beaded Chestnut were caught.
