On the sea today 3 Eider, 5 Common Scoter, 7 Red-breasted Mergansers, 4 Red-throated Divers, Great Northern Diver, 6 Great Crested Grebes, 9 Gannets, 5 Kittiwakes, 51 Little Gulls, 2 Guillemots and 6 Razorbills were recorded. Also of interest were 700 Golden Plover, a Merlin, a Wheatear, 3 Stonechats, 4 Rock Pipits, 6 Bearded Tits, 2 Bramblings, 3 Redpolls and 2 Siskins.
Red Admirals, Migrant Hawkers and Common Darters were still around the Observatory and a Humming-bird Hawk Moth was seen.
